Kansas City Chiefs: 2018 Week 3 Staff Predictions against San Francisco

This is a tricky game to predict. We already know what the Chiefs are: an offensive juggernaut with the ability to put up 30+ points every week. They also have an atrocious defense, so they pretty much HAVE to put up a lot of points or they’re going to lose games.

What are the 49ers though? We’re not all that certain yet. They have Jimmy Garoppolo taking snaps now, but he doesn’t have a ton of weapons. The defense is also a bit of a question mark. Those factors make San Francisco a tough team to peg this year.

With all of that said, I have to roll with the hot hand here and that’s the Kansas City Chiefs. They’re 2-0 for a reason and that’s because Patrick Mahomes has taken the league by storm and spreading the football around well. Every single target is deadly on the Chiefs offense and it makes defending them damn near impossible.

While the 49ers will stick around in this game due to the dumpster fire that is the Chiefs defense, I have to stick with the Chiefs. 35-28 KC! Let’s keep on rollin’!
