The Kansas City Chiefs host the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in their home opener. We got behind enemy lines to get an inside look at the 49ers.

The Kansas City Chiefs will host the San Francisco 49ers this weekend in their home opener at Arrowhead Stadium. There’s no doubt that the stadium will be electric as the prince returns home for his first start at Arrowhead. Good luck to the 49ers offense being able to hear anything on Sunday.

Mahomes has already led the team to victories against teams they were picked to lose against. The Los Angeles Chargers were expected to win the division this season, and begin that with a victory over the Chiefs. Kansas City dominated that matchup. Traveling to Pittsburgh, the storyline was whether the Chiefs would finally get that monkey off of their back?

For the first time since 1986, Kansas City won a game in Pittsburgh. The Steelers have had the Chiefs number for years now, but they couldn’t keep up with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs explosive offense. Coming into Week 3, Kansas City will face an offense that is good, but not elite for the first time this season.

I’m interested to see how the defense goes up against Jimmy Garoppolo and the 49ers offense. While it’s still a good offense under Kyle Shanahan’s scheme, it’s not the kind of caliber that we have seen the first two weeks. I wanted to get some insight on the 49ers so I reached out to Chris Wilson of Niner Noise, the San Francisco 49ers FanSided website. He gave us some good intel on what we should expect on Sunday.
