The Kansas City Chiefs offense looks unstoppable after two weeks of regular season football. Where do they fit in the AFC standings?

The Kansas City Chiefs have started off the regular season with back to back upset performances through two weeks of football. The Los Angeles Chargers were expected AFC West division winners all offseason despite significant changes. In Week 1, Kansas City dominated the Chargers defense and spent the entire fourth quarter in prevent defense with their 38-28 victory.

An even bigger test came in Week 2 as the Chiefs traveled to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Kansas City won their first game in Pittsburgh since 1986 on Sunday. The Steelers have also been the monkey on the Chiefs back the last few years. Kansas City held on in a shootout over Pittsburgh winning 42-37.

Both of those games Kansas City was picked to lose not only during the offseason but leading up to the games. With those victories, I wanted to get a look at where the Chiefs land in the AFC rankings. Where do they sit among AFC contenders?

I did some research and talked to writers that cover other teams around the league. After getting some good insight on each of the top contenders in the AFC, I decided to look at where Kansas City might rank in the lineup. First, let’s take a look at some of the contenders in the AFC and see how they look so far this season.
