SIT ‘EM – D/ST

D/ST. Cardinals. Cardinals D/ST. 5. player. 32.

The Cardinals defense flopped in week one, allowing Alex Smith to look pretty dang good in his Redskins debut. If Smith and the Redskins were able to expose Arizona’s D like that, it’s going to be an even worse result against Jared Goff and the Rams this weekend.

Along with the passing game to worry about, the running game will be a challenge for Arizona, as Chris Thompson and Adrian Peterson gashed the Red Birds’ run defense in the season opener. Things aren’t going to get any better in week two.

The Cardinals not only have to hit the road, but will get to try their hand at stopping Todd Gurley. Yeah, good luck with that, Cards.

Maybe Arizona’s defense will be decent this year, but after getting shredded by Washington, I wouldn’t bank on them being a reliable starting unit just yet. Give them a few weeks to see if they bounce back at all.
