POTENTIAL HEAD COACH REPLACEMENTS

Greg Schiano (Ohio State)

This man responsible for building Rutgers to multiple bowl appearances and building up the university in New Jersey. Greg Schiano flamed out in Tampa Bay when he tried his hand at coaching in the NFL.

Now with the Buckeyes since 2016, Schiano has been a major component of the elite level Ohio State defense and one that is producing quality NFL defensive prospects at a staggering rate.

There is drama attached to Schiano’s name, as he was at Penn State during Jerry Sandusky’s tenure and was denied the Tennessee head coaching job because of that. He’s definitely a name that people know for all the wrong reasons, but does that really matter to Kansas football right now?

He would be a great hire for a Jayhawk program that desperately needs to feel and be legitimate. Schiano could use the Kansas job to help restore his reputation (a bit perhaps) and show he can still build a program and the Jayhawks could benefit from Schiano’s ability to recruit and coach.
