Indianapolis Colts Tight End Eric Ebron

If you are looking for a backup tight end candidate, Eric Ebron is your guy. Considering the lack of starting tight ends in fantasy, he could even be a suitable starting tight end for your line up. The Indianapolis Colts were high on using two tight end sets against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, and I expect for that to continue.

During his Week 1 performance against the Bengals, Ebron came away with four catches for 51 yards and a touchdown. The Colts also have tight end Jack Doyle, but considering their lack of wide receiver talent behind T.Y. Hilton, I expect these two tight end sets to continue.

Once again, tight ends are hard to come by for consistent production. Having someone like Ebron on your bench for a bye week or in case of injury would be a great pickup. I wouldn’t expect his Week 1 performance to be a weekly thing, but in a pinch, he looks like one of the best options in deeper leagues.
