Tampa Bay Buccanneers Wide Receiver DeSean Jackson

Who could have seen Tampa Bay upsetting the New Orleans Saints in an explosive offensive performance in Week 1 with Ryan Fitzpatrick as the starting quarterback? Unfortunately, DeSean Jackson suffered a concussion during the Week 1 game which may leave him out in his Week 2 game.

Before going down with a concussion, Jackson was on fire putting up five catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns. He’s clearly the Number 2 receiver in Tampa Bay, and fantasy owners can take a breath of relief as he shouldn’t be out long if at all. Depending on the concussion protocol, which is always tricky and hard to predict, Jackson should be back at the latest for Week 3.

He’s not someone that fans should be overly concerned about. If you have another receiver on your bench that you feel comfortable playing as a FLEX option for the Week 2 games, that would be my best advice at this point until we get closer to game day. Jackson should be back for Week 3 without any question.
