San Francisco 49ers Wide Receiver Marquise Goodwin

The San Francisco 49ers offense failed to pick up where they left off at the end of the 2017 season. Facing an elite Minnesota Vikings defense put new quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo under a lot of pressure, and showed that he might not be ready given the talent around him at the playmaker positions to yet lead his team to a deep playoff push.

One of his favorite targets is wide receiver Marquise Goodwin who suffered a quad injury which kept him limited in the Vikings game on Sunday. We still don’t know how long this injury will keep him off the field, but it’s certainly one that you should keep an eye on.

The next man up would be second-round pick Dante Pettis in the 49ers offense. Goodwin was their speed receiver, and Pettis seemed to get plenty of time once Goodwin left the field. Pettis should be a good pick up this week regardless of Goodwin playing soon. If you need someone to step in for Goodwin, Pettis will make a solid FLEX option in the upcoming week while Goodwin recovers.
