Seattle Seahawks Wide Receiver Doug Baldwin

During the preseason, Doug Baldwin had been suffering from a left knee injury. It was unclear why Seattle played him during the Week 1 game against the Denver Broncos if he wasn’t 100 percent. However, the injury that Baldwin suffered Week 1 was to the opposite knee.

Baldwin suffered a partially torn MCL in his right knee which is even more troubling. While the injury to his right knee should only keep him out for a while, and it might be time to be looking for backup options anyway. Having both knees injured already entering Week 2 of the season, that’s not something I would want to go all in on.

What seemed to be just finding a one or two-week replacement, could turn into finding a completely different player. Grabbing one of the other wide receivers for Seattle might be worth your while. It’s unknown who will be the next guy in line with players like Brandon Marshall, Tyler Lockett, and Jaron Brown left to pick from.

One thing that can be certain, Russell Wilson is still one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL. He will find ways to make big plays, and these guys will likely see more targets for the time that Baldwin is out.
