Nebraska football lost its season opener to the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday, but it wasn’t all bad. Losing stings, but there was definitely some good to come out of this game. Let’s take a look at the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Well Husker fans… The Scott Frost era of Nebraska football is upon us. After the season opener against Colorado, fans probably have a lot of mixed emotions this morning and I’d say that’s perfectly fine considering what an up and down game the opener was.
Despite losing, Nebraska showed signs that they could be a legitimate force to be reckoned with not only in the Big Ten, but maybe on a national scale as well. Wouldn’t that be something if they could make it to the top 25 rankings in Frost’s first year? I know, getting ahead of myself here, but I just can’t help it.
This game went from “OH NO!” to “OH YEAH!” to “OH MY GODDDDD” to heartbreak all in the span of four quarters. It was a great battle between two former Big 12 foes and I, for one, can’t wait for the rematch next year in Boulder.
Until then, however, let’s take one last look back at this game with the good, the bad, and the ugly from Nebraska football’s season opening loss to the Buffs.
