Kansas State Football has 2 quarterbacks that don’t seem to want the starting role

Skylar Thompson did not look like a division 1 quarterback against South Dakota. Lucky for him, neither did Alex Delton.

Thompson’s numbers were not impressive by no means, but the offense did appear to operate a little smoother with him out there.

Thompson was 8/14 for 61 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. The most glaring stat is the 4.4 average per completion.

Thompson simply needs to have more confidence in his arm. If he goes out and makes the throws he knows he can make he should be quite an efficient passer.

With Delton refusing to take the initiative, Thompson can make strides against Mississippi State.

Look for Skylar to be called on to pass more and run less. The Wildcats need as balanced of an offense as they can muster. This is probably the best route.

Keep an eye on the confidence level Thompson shows.
