SIT ‘EM – RB

36. . Running Back. Seahawks. Chris Carson. 2. player

Chris Carson didn’t make too much of a splash as a rookie in 2017, but after putting up good numbers in the preseason, people might think he’s going to light the world on fire. While it’s possible for Carson to have a terrific year, I wouldn’t bank on him making a lot of noise in week one.

The Seahawks are on the road in Denver in week one and while that Denver D isn’t what it used to be, the rushing defense was one of the best in the league last year. Michael Fabiano of NFL.com notes that the unit was in the top ten when it came to rushing yards allowed in fantasy football.

"The Broncos surrendered the seventh-fewest PPR points (19.19 PPR) to opposing running backs on their home field last season"

Even if the Seahawks weren’t playing the Broncos, Chris Carson is still someone I’d keep on the bench this week. Seattle’s running back situation isn’t entirely figured out and Carson might not get the workload that fantasy owners are expecting.
