Fantasy Football 2018: Start Em, Sit Em for Week 1
SIT ‘EM – TE
O.J. Howard probably isn’t anyone’s first choice to start at tight end this weekend, but if he is, please keep him on the bench. For one, the Bucs have both him and Cameron Brate at the position, meaning they’ll take targets away from one another.
Second, the Saints had one of the most surprising defenses last year. They went from having horrid defenses to one of the better units in 2018. Michael Fabiano of NFL.com said the Saints were one of the best at stopping the tight end in fantasy football last year.
"Their defense also allowed the second-fewest PPR points (9.07 PPG) to opposing tight ends last season."
Hopefully O.J. Howard isn’t your best tight end option, but if he is, avoid playing him this weekend. He’ll be splitting time with Brate, going up against a tough defense, and won’t even have his starting quarterback on the field. Look for another option at tight end this week because Howard isn’t the answer.
