SIT ‘EM

Zach Ertz. 3. player. 54. . Tight End. Eagles

It might seem weird to suggest sitting one of the better tight ends in the league and if you don’t have any better options as a backup, then keep Zach Ertz in your lineup. If, however, you play in a smaller league and have Ertz, this might not be the best week to count on him getting you much production.

The last time the Eagles and Falcons played, Ertz was not heavily involved in the offensive scheme. He was targeted five times and hauled in three receptions for just 32 yards.

The Falcons were pretty good against the tight end position last year. Per Fantasy Pros,

"The Falcons allowed just four tight ends to score more than 10 PPR points against them last year."

While it’s a new year and the defense might not be quite the same, we don’t have a whole lot else to go on this week other than 2017 stats.

Zach Ertz is a good tight end, but if there’s one week you might want to bench him, this is it. Playing against a team that limits the tight end from doing any damage and having the backup quarterback in might result in not many points from Zach Ertz.
