Week 5 – Kansas City Chiefs vs Jacksonville Jaguars (Leigh)

When it comes to playoff teams from 2017 who could miss the postseason in 2018, the Jacksonville Jaguars might fall in that category. It’s not that the Jaguars aren’t good defensively, in fact, they might be the best in the league on that side of the ball, but it’s more of their offense that will hold them back.

The NFL is an offensive league now and the new rules this year make it incredibly difficult for the defenses to shine through. The Jaguars might have the talent on their D, but can their offense step up enough to help them prevail?

In week five, the Chiefs will host the Jaguars at Arrowhead Stadium and this game could go either way honestly. With Blake Bortles still being the quarterback in Jacksonville, it makes it easier to pick Kansas City to reign supreme in this one.

If, however, the Chiefs defense really is as bad as advertised during the preseason, it could be tough to stop even someone as lousy as Blake Bortles. The Chiefs offense will have to be firing on all cylinders against the Jaguars defense and if they can do that, they should be able to win this one.

Prediction: This won’t be a cakewalk, but the Chiefs will find a way to win. 24-20 Chiefs

Standout Player: Reggie Ragland will have his work cut out for him, having to stop Leonard Fournette, but he puts up double digit tackles in this one.

RECOR: 4-1
