Week 17 – Kansas City Chiefs vs Oakland Raiders (Travis)

Depending on how the season goes for Kansas City, this could be a game that the Chiefs start a number of backups like we have seen in recent years. Even with their backups, I could see them pulling this one off for a win.

Oakland has been a nightmare the offseason after hiring head coach John Gruden. Their defense has gotten even worse after the 53-man roster cut downs. Oakland traded away their best player Khalil Mack and released players like defensive tackle Mario Edwards.

Another thing that will go in Kansas City’s favor is the fact that Oakland quarterback Derek Carr has been unable to provide production in the colder months of the season. He has been terrible when coming to Kansas City late in the season.

Kansas City comes out with an easy win to finish off the regular season. If the starters do play, I see the Chiefs offense absolutely picking apart the Oakland defense. If they can develop a more consistent pass rush this season, Carr will see the turf many times in this game.

Prediction: Kansas City finishes off the regular season with a win over the Raiders 30-13.

Standout Player: Travis Kelce is the perfect mismatch for Oakland. He will be a force over the middle that the Raiders have zero answer for. Kelce comes out of this one with two touchdowns.

FINAL RECORD: 11-5
