Week 10 – Kansas City Chiefs vs Arizona Cardinals (John)

There are few teams perhaps more unpredictable then the Arizona Cardinals. Yes, the Cardinals have Larry Fitzgerald and David Johnson on offense, so they can theoretically score at any time. And yes, Patrick Peterson is still on the defense.

Lest we forget the Cardinals, at least as of the conclusion of the preseason, list Sam Bradford as their starter. Will he be playing when the Cardinals visit Arrowhead? Or will Josh Rosen, their first round draft pick, be the guy under center? That could make a big difference.

The ability of the Chiefs to win this game likely revolves around their ability to stop running back Johnson and Fitzgerald. Third round pick Christian Kirk has enough game breaking ability as a lesser version of Tyreek Hill to make plays if the defense is focusing on the aforementioned pair.

The Chiefs must be able to shut down David Johnson and do so early. Bradford (or rookie Rosen) can be effective with a running game and play action pass opportunities. If the Chiefs are unable to stop the run, winning the game could be difficult

Prediction: In the end, the Chiefs likely win this game. Arizona simply has to many question marks and just may not have the depth of talent needed to sustain, especially with an aging receiver and injury prone quarterback. The Chiefs will start fast and then hold on late (which is a likely formula for this 2018 Chiefs team) as they hold on to win 31- 27.

Standout Player: Eric Berry has a late interception that seals the deal for the Chiefs.

RECORD: 8-2
