The Kansas City Chiefs have made a number of moves this offseason to get ready for the 2018 season. What should fans expect from the team in 2018?

With the roster changes that were made in the offseason there are plenty of reasons for Chiefs Kingdom to be hyped for the upcoming season. There are also plenty of reasons to be cautious or even concerned about how the season might go with these changes. Kansas City Chiefs fans shouldn’t lower their expectations, but expectations shouldn’t be too high either, at least for the 2018 season.

Brett Veach spent his first full offseason overhauling the defense and getting the offense ready for first-year starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Between letting aging veterans and players that didn’t fit what Veach was building, he had his work cut out for him this year.

There’s only so much that Veach can do with one offseason. Considering the CAP situation that former general manager John Dorsey left the organization in, Veach did his best to start making moves to get this team over the hump as soon as possible.

Here is why Chiefs fans should look at the upcoming with a level head and appropriate expectations.
