There’s a new kicker and a new punter in town, which causes concern

You never realize how much you will miss your special teams’ guys until they’re gone. Well, they’re gone.

In the Big 12, a decent kicker can swing your record either way by three wins each year. New kickers are scary.

This doesn’t mean that the Wildcats have a poor kicker currently, it just means that they had one, and he’s gone.

Both Matthew McCrane and Nick Walsh are gone. In comes Blake Lynch and Andrew Hicks.

Lynch appears to have quite the leg, and it’s fairly easy to get excited about the young placekicker. Hicks, on the other hand, may need some practice.

It will be interesting to see how both these guys do. It doesn’t matter who the opponent is, if you can get the ball through the uprights you can win some ball games.
