Will Alex Barnes live up to the hype for Kansas State Football?

Alex Barnes will lead a talented backfield in 2018. Many believe he is going to have a season comparable to the other top backs in the conference.

That would be just fine with most Wildcat fans I know. Under new offensive coordinator Andre Coleman, the chances that Barnes hears his name called are much better.

In 2017, Barnes rushed for eight touchdowns and 819 yards. Those numbers don’t necessarily jump off the screen at you, but some of the runs he was able to get off sure do.

Barnes has shown signs of being one of the better backs in the country, so far he has underachieved in that aspect. This season will be his for the taking if he can manage to be consistent with his run attempts, look out world.

Warmack and Silmon provide a fantastic support group behind him, so the running game should play a vital role in the Wildcats success.
