Hunt will have a hard time besting his rookie season

I’m as big a fan of Hunt as anyone else and am beyond impressed with his rookie season. That being said, the remainder of his career in Kansas City may not live up to that rookie season.

That isn’t to say that he won’t score more touchdowns, or run for more yards. I’m just pointing out his situation.

Andy Reid loves to throw the ball, that hurts the amount of carries Hunt will receive. Mahomes is a gunslinger with multiple weapons at his disposal, meaning Hunt will at times be forgotten.

As good as Hunt is, it won’t be his talent that holds him back but the number of opportunities. Take into account that the defense looks years away from being relevant again, the offense will be playing catch up, often.

Hunt will stay impressive, but the chances of him blowing his numbers from 2017 out of the water seem slim to none.
