Travis Kelce has his best years ahead of him for the Kansas City Chiefs

Travis Kelce is arguably one of the best tight ends in football. Arguably only in the fashion of whether or not he is the best, or second best behind Rob Gronkowski.

Kelce, like Hill, is a special weapon. He’s as big as an ox but has the speed and agility of a gazelle. There is literally no one to guard him. He’s too quick and too fast for a linebacker, too strong for a corner, and uses every talent to make safeties cry in their sleep.

As great a weapon as he is. As great a receiver as he is. He hasn’t been utilized correctly his entire professional career. Far too often he’s been the safety net. That’s not a knock on Kelce, but rather a jab toward the Chiefs coaching staff.

Kelce has the speed and quickness to outrun and out-maneuver defenders game in and game out. He’s a deep threat that hasn’t had the opportunity to threaten deep. That’s all changed now.

It is very likely that you see his yard per catch numbers go up this season. This won’t change anytime soon. Mahomes has already shown that he prefers to throw to either Hill or Kelce, meaning Kelce will still be used as a security blanket, but the blanket is much bigger now.
