FANTASY FOOTBALL DEEP SLEEPERS TO TARGET: NUMBER 12 – BAKER MAYFIELD

Lamar Jackson probably has the best chance of starting when it comes to the first round rookie quarterbacks, but Baker Mayfield is a close second. With Tyrod Taylor‘s recent injury, Mayfield could see the field sooner rather than later.

If Mayfield does get a chance to start, you should add him at least as bench depth. This kid has shown a lot of fire in the preseason (and yes, it’s just preseason) and some people even think he could really be the difference maker for the Browns.

Mayfield won the Heisman Trophy last year after throwing for over 4,600 yards with 48 total touchdowns. Mayfield’s ability to both run and throw the ball makes him an intriguing quarterback, but it also really makes him enticing for fantasy football.

Taylor is going to be the starter for Cleveland if healthy, but the minute he goes down or makes a crucial mistake, Mayfield will see the field. Are you going to be the person who scoops him up in your league?
