The Kansas City Chiefs travel to Chicago to take on the Bears in the last opportunity for starters to play. What should we be looking for?

The Kansas City Chiefs will be facing off against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field this afternoon in their third preseason matchup. It will be the last time that we have the opportunity to see the starting lineup before the Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

There are still positions up for grabs even in the first team unit. Given how cautious the Chiefs have been through this preseason, it will also be the first time we see some of the starters. While the backups will have limited playing time, it’s still important to keep an eye on who is getting playing time with the ones and two’s.

Given that some starters will not take the field, we will see who gets the starting nod and how the backups perform incase called upon later this season. Defensive end Allen Bailey, cornerback Steven Nelson, and right guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif will all miss the game against the Bears.

Safety Eric Berry is another player that will not hit the field as the team is being overly cautious to not have him set back by his heel pain. One player that does look to get some playing time is running back Spencer Ware who hasn’t seen any playing time since he was hurt last preseason.

Here are my key things to watch in the game against Chicago.
