Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins

How Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is still underrated by so many is beyond me. He remains in the top five wide receivers in the NFL if you ask me. Given that he has put up big numbers with poor quarterback play and little around him is a large part on why I am so high on him.

Last season, Hopkins developed a strong bond with rookie quarterback DeShaun Watson. Unfortunately, Watson tore his ACL in practice in Week 9 which left Hopkins with another stretch of bad quarterback play. Despite losing Watson, Hopkins still topped his career touchdowns in a single season hauling in 13. He also had the second most receiving yards of his career with 1,378.

Given that half of the season was spent with backup quarterback play, Hopkins should get a full season with Watson under center if he remains healthy. The two made the Texans offense one of the most explosive offenses in the game during the first half of last season and should pick up right where they left off.

If Watson could stay healthy for an entire season and return even better in his second season, it would not surprise me to see Hopkins leading the league in receiving yards and touchdowns by the end of 2018.
