Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen

Keenan Allen was the number one targeted wide receiver in the red zone last season with 26. The problem with Allen is his health. The 2017 season was the first time he has been healthy for the entire season. Over the previous two seasons, Allen missed out on 23 games due to injuries.

Allen wasn’t just a threat inside the red zone, but all over the field. He was targeted by Phillip Rivers 159 times last year, and the connection will remain there if Allen can stay on the field. He remains to be one of the biggest matchup problems for cornerbacks due to his size.

While injuries are always a concern, the number of targets that Allen see’s inside the red zone are way too good to pass on. If Rivers continues to play at a high level, Allen will see significant numbers in the 2018 season.
