Kansas City Chiefs: Ranking the quarterbacks on 2018 schedule
RANKING EVERY QUARTERBACK ON 2018 SCHEDULE
NUMBER 5 – JARED GOFF
This could be another quarterback that some feel I ranked too high, but I’ve been on the Jared Goff bandwagon since his rookie year. He only struggled as a rookie due to poor coaching and you know, being a rookie in the NFL. Goff soon proved he was worthy of the number one overall pick, showing up big in 2017.
Goff threw for 3,804 yards, 28 touchdowns, and seven interceptions in his second year as a pro. Goff was so good last year that he managed to lead the Rams to an NFC West title and their first playoff appearance in over a decade.
The Rams are a lot of people’s Super Bowl pick this year and a lot of that depends on if Goff progresses or regresses in his third year. The Chiefs and Rams play on Monday Night Football in Mexico City in week 11 in what should be a tough match-up for the Chiefs.
Jared Goff will be looking to take the next step and beating the Chiefs is another way to do that. Some might argue he doesn’t deserve to be considered the fifth toughest quarterback KC will face this year, but after throwing 28 touchdowns and just seven picks last year, I think it’s well deserved.
