Kansas City Chiefs: Ranking the quarterbacks on 2018 schedule
RANKING EVERY QUARTERBACK ON 2018 SCHEDULE
NUMBER 7 – DEREK CARR
This is another ranking that people will be upset with, but I’ve always been in the camp of Derek Carr being overrated. Yes, he had that good 2016 season, but came back down to Earth tremendously last year.
Another reason Carr is ranked this low is because he’s struggled immensely against Kansas City during his career. He’s gone just 2-6 against the Chiefs and is still winless at Arrowhead Stadium, which bodes well for Chiefs fans considering Carr plays quarterback in the AFC West.
Last year, the Raiders quarterback threw for 3,496 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. His picks doubled from a season prior and a big chunk of that was likely due to his offensive line not being nearly as good as it was in 2016. That 2016 season Carr had arguably the best line in the league and benefited greatly from it.
The Chiefs will go a long time without seeing the Raiders, with both of their match-ups coming in December. The first is in week 13 in Oakland and the second will be the season finale, taking place in Arrowhead. Reminder: Carr stinks at Arrowhead, so that’s a good regular season finale for the Chiefs to have.
