Kansas City Chiefs: Ranking the quarterbacks on 2018 schedule
RANKING EVERY QUARTERBACK ON 2018 SCHEDULE
NUMBER 10 – TYROD TAYLOR
It was actually kind of tough putting Tyrod Taylor this low, but ultimately here he is. The Browns were smart to snatch up Taylor in the offseason, but a big question with Cleveland is will he be the starter the entire season? The Browns drafted Baker Mayfield number one overall and that fan base will be starving for Mayfield to see playing time, especially with how electric he’s looked in the preseason.
Back to Taylor though, he’s an underrated talent at quarterback, being a skilled passer and doing damage with his legs. Last year he threw for 2,799 yards, 14 touchdowns, and four interceptions while adding 427 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
The Bills simply didn’t appreciate Taylor despite him getting to them to their first playoff appearance since the new millennium. Now he’s in Cleveland and will have to make sure he doesn’t mess up too quickly or his starting job could be in jeopardy before he even knows it.
The Chiefs travel to Cleveland in week nine in a game that will be trickier than many will think. The Browns are traditionally a bad football team, but they won’t go winless again in 2017. Taylor isn’t a top notch quarterback, no, but he can do enough to win his team games and the Chiefs experienced that first hand last year.
