RANKING EVERY QUARTERBACK ON 2018 SCHEDULE

NUMBER 11 – JOE FLACCO

Five years ago, Joe Flacco was grouped with the top quarterbacks in the league, mainly due to that electric postseason he had in 2012. Flacco led the Ravens to a Super Bowl victory that season, but hasn’t been the same player since then.

Flacco has somehow been in the league for 11 years already (seems just like yesterday that he was a first round pick out of Delaware), but this could be it for him in Baltimore. The Ravens drafted Lamar Jackson in the first round of this year’s draft, and one would have to think Flacco will be benched as soon as he royally screws up.

Last season saw Flacco throw just 18 touchdown passes and 13 interceptions while tossing for 3,141 yards. The Ravens were a good team in spite of Flacco last year, barely missing out on the playoffs. Had Flacco been just a tinsy bit better, Baltimore is probably a playoff team in 2017.

The Chiefs and Ravens will play at Arrowhead in week 14 and by that point, we should have a good idea of who these two teams are. Hell, Flacco might not even be the starter that late in the season.

LAST TIME HE FACED KC: OCTOBER 7, 2012 (Flacco was injured when the Chiefs and Ravens played in 2015, so yes, it has been six years since he squared off against the Chiefs. He went 13 of 27 for 187 yards and a touchdown in that awful 9-6 Chiefs loss, also known as the Matt Cassel getting injured and fans cheering game)
