The Kansas City Chiefs will face some tough quarterbacks this year, but will also see some “meh” talent. Let’s rank every opposing quarterback on the schedule.

When it comes to the NFL, there’s no debating that the quarterback position is the most important in the sport. If a team has a good quarterback, that team is going to be in playoff contention every year. The Kansas City Chiefs will see several franchise quarterbacks this year, but they’ll also see a few guys who haven’t been all that good.

With the regular season just two weeks away, let’s rank every opposing quarterback on the Chiefs schedule this year. What I found doing these rankings is that there were four signal callers that were really good, a few decent ones, and the rest are just “meh”.

RANKING EVERY QUARTERBACK ON 2018 SCHEDULE

NUMBER 13 – BLAKE BORTLES

It’s hard for me to not laugh every time there’s a Blake Bortles reference on NBC’s “The Good Place” because the character who always brings him up thinks he’s the best quarterback in the league. That obviously is not the case and he’s the worst signal caller the Chiefs will face this year. The Chiefs and Jaguars will square off in week five at Arrowhead Stadium.

Bortles did show some juice in the postseason last year and helped get the Jaguars to the AFC Championship Game, but he’s easily the weakest link when it comes to the Jacksonville offense. He throws a lot of picks every year and has had some really, really bad games during his short pro career. The Jaguars defense basically carried him to the playoffs and got him through that Wild Card Game.

With this being Bortles’ fifth year in the league, he’ll be needing to show Jacksonville he can replicate those playoff numbers if he wants a long-term deal. He’s not an awful quarterback, but Bortles is the worst out of the ones KC will face this year.

LAST TIME HE FACED KC: NOVEMBER 6, 2016 (Bortles went 22 of 41 for 252 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception while rushing for an additional 54 yards in a loss for the Jags)
