Fantasy football season is here and a lot of drafts are likely getting underway in the next week or so. Drafting rookies can be risky, but sometimes that rookie can end up being one of your best players.

When it comes to fantasy football drafts, there’s always a little bit of uncertainty when it comes to drafting a rookie for your squad. Players don’t always make the transition over to the NFL with ease so that’s something fantasy owners are aware of.

This year’s crop of rookies are a bit different than most because it won’t be highlighted by quarterbacks. Yes, five quarterbacks were taken in the first round, but none are the guaranteed starters heading into week one. In fact, none of them might be starting in the first week.

Baker Mayfield has Tyrod Taylor to battle with, Josh Rosen has Sam Bradford ahead of him in Arizona, Sam Darnold is competing with both Josh McCown and Teddy Bridgewater, Josh Allen will likely be sitting behind A.J. McCarron, and Lamar Jackson is backing up Joe Flacco for now. Out of those guys, Rosen and Jackson probably have the best chance at getting on the field early on, but again… That’s no guarantee.

With not many rookie quarterbacks in the mix to draft this year, what other rookies are legitimate fantasy football options? We take a look at the top 15 here.
