Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley

The Los Angeles Rams have one of the most versatile running backs in Todd Gurley. Last year proved as much as the third-year running back ran the ball for 1,305 yards and 13 touchdowns while accompanying those numbers with 788 yards and six more touchdowns through the air. Both rushing and passing for Gurley were career highs in 2017.

Gurley was second in the league in rushing last season only trailing Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt. If he had suited up for the final game of the season when the Rams rested most of their starters, we likely would be talking about him as last year’s top rusher. Gurley also won the award of Offensive Player of the Year in 2017.

Leading the league with 62 rushing attempts inside the red zone, Gurley is a strong candidate for your first running back in the upcoming season. Even with those numbers, he was the sixth most targeted running back in the passing game just a year ago.

Gurley and the Rams offense look to take it a step further as they feel they have an even better shot in 2018 with the overhaul of talent the team has acquired this season. With quarterback Jared Goff entering his third season, the Rams could be in for another explosive season on offense with Gurley remaining the top weapon.
