Kansas State Football powers past Sooners in Norman

The Wildcats won back to back games in Norman, both were well played, fun to watch games, but the first one pulled at the heartstrings of Wildcat fans.

Led by Colin Klein and company, the win in Norman eventually gave the Wildcats a share of their second Big 12 title. In front of 85,000 Sooner fans, the Wildcats did not spook easily.

Down 3-0, the Wildcats had the Sooners pushed back near the goal line. Landry Jones dropped back to pass, feeling the pressure he scrambled right to have the ball stripped by Justin Tuggle and recovered in the end zone by Childs to take the lead.

The Sooners threatened to score in the second quarter but Blake Bell mishandled the snap and the Wildcats recovered. From there the Sooners retook the lead in the third quarter and kept it until the start of the fourth. Jones was intercepted right before the end of the third quarter and a few plays later, going the opposite way, Klein ran it in from six yards out to take the lead 17-13.

Hubert powered in for a touchdown late before the Sooners countered. Leading 24-19 with over three minutes left, Klein was perfect as the Wildcats kept getting first down after first down, running the clock out on the Sooners hopes for a championship.
