MARCUS KEMP

When I went to look up Marcus Kemp‘s statistics, a message popped up that he has an “undisclosed injury” and might not be available for week one versus the Chargers. Obviously that’s assuming he even makes the team.

Kemp actually played in one game for the Chiefs last year and does have a chance at making the practice squad again this year. He had chemistry with Patrick Mahomes last preseason and that’s obviously important.

Kemp spent four years playing college football at Hawaii and had 1,100 yards as a senior in 2016. He also found the end zone eight times that year, making him a good red zone option if the Chiefs decided to keep him around.

Depending on how severe this injury is, Kemp is a candidate to at least make the practice squad. He’s a name that’s mentioned as a “maybe” and again, he and Mahomes dazzled last preseason, so that works in his favor for sure. The bad news, however, is that he was targeted three times against Houston and came up with zero receptions.
