JEHU CHESSON

Jehu Chesson could be a receiver fans know more about simply because he was drafted by the team a year ago. Chesson, a fourth round pick out of Michigan in 2017, appeared in 12 games last year and actually started one. He had just two receptions for 18 yards during that time.

Even though he was drafted by the team, that’s no guarantee for Jehu Chesson to make the team out of preseason. He hasn’t shown much during his short time in the league and the general manger who drafted him is now in Cleveland, so Brett Veach might not feel the need to keep him around.

Chesson had just one reception on Thursday and it was a nine-yard gain. That was the only time he was targeted. Being a fourth round draft pick works in Chesson’s favor, but it certainly doesn’t solidify him as one of the Chiefs’ receivers this year.

If Jehu Chesson wants to make sure he’s on the team, he needs to show something in these next few preseason games.
