FANTASY FOOTBALL SLEEPERS TO TARGET: NUMBER 13 – RICKY SEALS-JONES

Ricky Seals-Jones‘ numbers weren’t amazing as a rookie last year, but he’ll be a tight end to watch for this year. He only had 201 yards in 2017, but did catch three touchdown passes during his ten games with the Cardinals.

Seals-Jones was never dominant yardage wise in any particular game last year, but he did have a game where he had two touchdowns. He has a year in the pros under his belt, which should make him a better option to add this year. He’ll likely be available until the later rounds too.

The big thing to be weary of with Seals-Jones isn’t necessarily something he can help, but it’s more of the quarterback situation in Arizona. The Cardinals have three able quarterbacks in Sam Bradford, Mike Glennon, and rookie Josh Rosen, but that’s kind of the issue. There could be a carousel at some point and that rarely gels well for the tight end, who could be pushed into more of a blocking role.

Bradford will probably be the starter (at least in my opinion), but he gets hurt a lot. If Rosen ends up taking over, he could have some growing pains and that could mean less targets for Seals-Jones.

All in all though, Ricky Seals-Jones is someone that fantasy owners could draft initially as a backup and then be pleasantly surprised with later on.
