Kansas Football: Games Jayhawks can win in 2018
Kansas football hasn’t been associated with winning in over a decade now. Which games can the Jayhawks possibly win this upcoming season?
For Kansas football fans, wins have been hard to come by. It’s tough to get excited for college football season for those in Lawrence, but with a new Athletic Director in town, this has to be David Beaty’s final season. That’s assuming he continues to rack up losses.
Obviously KU will play everyone in the Big 12 and they have three non-conference opponents this year, like most years. Which games do the Jayhawks have a chance at bringing home a victory?
GAMES KANSAS FOOTBALL CAN WIN IN 2018 – NICHOLLS STATE
In their season opener, the Kansas Jayhawks will host the Nicholls State Colonels. Nicholls State is located in Louisiana and is a Division I FBS program, meaning KU has a shot to beat them, and they honestly SHOULD beat them.
Nicholls State went 8-4 last year, so they had a nice season. That being said, a Big 12 school should be able to beat them, but to be fair, Kansas did lose to South Dakota State a few years ago in the infamous winless season.
Kansas’ one victory last year came against Rhode Island in the first game of the year. This very well could be the only game in which KU is favored, but they should get the job done. If they lose to the Nicholls State Colonels, it’s going to be yet another long year for Kansas football.
