TOUGHEST OPPONENTS IN 2018 – NUMBER 1: ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE

OCTOBER 13 IN TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA

No one should be shocked to see that Missouri’s toughest opponent in 2018 will be the defending National Champions themselves, the Alabama Crimson Tide. We’re all sick of seeing Alabama at the top every year, but at the same time, you have to respect what Nick Saban and company have been able to do in Tuscaloosa.

Interestingly enough, the Tigers have only faced Bama during the regular season once since moving to the SEC, but they did see the Crimson Tide in 2014 in the SEC Championship Game. That didn’t end well for Mizzou, getting blown out 42-13.

Anything is possible in football and that’s why the teams play the games, but there’s a slim chance that MU goes down to Alabama and comes away with a victory. This will easily be the Tigers’ toughest game of the season because not only can Bama put up points, but their defense is the best in the conference by far.

There’s a reason the Crimson Tide make it to the National Championship almost every year. It’s because they’re a damn good team. They’re the toughest team the Missouri Tigers will play in 2018.
