TOUGHEST OPPONENTS IN 2018 – NUMBER 4: SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS

OCTOBER 6 IN COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA

For whatever reason, the South Carolina Gamecocks have had Missouri’s number since the Tigers made the move to the SEC. The Gamecocks have won four of the six games the two schools have squared off in since Missouri became a full-time rival to South Carolina.

The Gamecocks have won the last two games against Mizzou and will look to make it three straight years in early October. Deebo Samuel is the scariest player on South Carolina’s roster for his ability to return kicks on special teams.

Samuel is used on offense too, catching and running with the ball. He had four offensive touchdowns last year, so the Tigers are going to have their hands full with the senior Gamecock. He only played in three games last year, but he did well against Missouri, putting up two total touchdowns on the day.

Missouri got it handed to them by the Gamecocks last year, so hopefully this year bucks that trend. The Tigers have had some heartbreaking losses at the hands of South Carolina, so it’d be nice to take it to them this year.
