DRAFTED KC ROYALS IN THE COLLEGE WORLD SERIES – ERIC COLE

The Kansas City Royals selected Eric Cole in the third round of the 2018 MLB Draft and the talented outfielder will hopefully get to show off during the College World Series in Omaha. Arkansas took down South Carolina in the Super Regionals and Cole had himself a series in those three games against the Gamecocks.

In the first game of the series, Cole walked once and had one RBI, raising his average to .324 on the year. Game 2 saw Cole go 1 for 5 while the deciding Game 3 was an offensive explosion for the Razorbacks.

Arkansas put up 14 runs in that game and Cole contributed quite a bit, collecting three hits on the day. He had one home run, one double, two RBI, and walked twice. By the end of the series, his slash line was an impressive .329/.417/.550.

Eric Cole and the Arkansas Razorbacks play the Texas Longhorns Sunday at 1:00 on ESPN. The winner plays the winner of the Florida/Texas Tech game, so we could potentially see Kowar pitching to Cole this weekend depending on how the bracket shakes up.
