Andrew Wiggins isn’t an All-Star, but he’s become a star in the NBA

Andrew Wiggins is the highest touted freshman to ever step foot in a Kansas basketball uniform. He was named Mr. Basketball USA in 2013, as well as the Gatorade Player of the Year and Naismith Prep Player of the Year.

At Kansas, he was the Big 12 Freshman of the Year while averaging 17.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.

Wiggins was taken with the first overall pick in 2014 by the Cleveland Cavaliers before being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves two months later for Kevin Love in a three-team trade per Lebron James’ wishes.

He averaged 16.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal per game as a rookie, earning him the NBA Rookie of the Year for the 2014-2015 season.

After four seasons in the NBA, Wiggins is averaging 19 points per game for a Timberwolves team that is fastly up and coming as one of the top young teams in the country.

Maple Jordan has a chance to be a star in the league as he gets more seasoned with every year. The game proved not be too big for the young Canadien, as he has started every game he’s played in.

Wiggins is one of the best all-around players to come out of Kansas since Paul Pierce. His future is bright and could lead to huge things in the very near future.
