Kansas City Chiefs: Five things to look forward to during the 2018 season

4) A scary looking inside linebacker duo
When Veach traded a 2019 fourth round draft pick to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for Reggie Ragland I was surprised – in a good way. Sure, Ragland was coming off of an ACL tear in his knee, but no matter the injury, you cannot take the heart away from the game of football.
Ragland, who had a break-out year for the Kansas City Chiefs, is now paired up with another upcoming linebacker star in Hitchens. These players have identical games, and very-well could be the best young linebacker duo in the NFL. But, of course, you need to give it a season, or two.
Ragland and Hitchens both are explosive linebackers who strive for contact. If they both continue their game the way they have been lately, it could be game over for opposing offenses. Though, hence that I said “could be”.
Both of them have work to do, as they are at times raw at their position. But, with enough work to critique their game, these two will be the hardest hitting, scariest looking linebacker duo in the NFL.
There is plenty that could go wrong with these two. For instance, there is always the possibility of Ragland re-injuring himself. Or Hitchens not living up to his high paycheck. So yeah, there are a lot of “what-ifs” that could send this duo South.. But, at the same time, they could both be heading down the path to stardom.
