As the Kansas City Chiefs wrap up their OTAs and get ready for the mandatory minicamp, these are the five biggest takeaways so far. Prepare to smile.

The Kansas City Chiefs are just a few days away from wrapping up their OTAs this offseason. This is an important time of the year for each NFL team as they go to school per say. From learning the playbook, showing off their individual skills, to proving themselves ready to make the team.

This season each Kansas City Chiefs player was in attendance, which shows a great character as well as buying into what Brett Veach, Andy Reid, and company are doing here. The 2018 season is going to be a unique experience for not only the players but also the fans.

There are probably more new faces wearing red than at any other time since Andy Reid showed up five years ago. This not only keeps the coaches busy, but it also keeps the veterans more involved as they help the new faces, both rookies and veterans to pick up the system.

There is plenty for fans to get excited about for 2018. The rookie class looks like a unique group of guys that were picked to fit this team. There is a new quarterback that has a ceiling as high as One Kansas City Place.

Eric Berry returns to the defense after missing 15 weeks last season. Kareem Hunt is back for an encore performance. Tyreek Hill is still the fastest man in football. Travis Kelce continues to be better each season, which is scary. Sammy Watkins provides the Chiefs with their best No.2 receiver possibly in franchise history. The list goes on and on.

The one thing that seems most noticeable, it isn’t just the players and fans that seem excited, the coaches seem excited as well. During their press conferences, they all have this giddy smile like they are up to something.

Let’s get right to it. These are the biggest takeaways so far.
