THE UNKNOWN

This goes along with having a new quarterback in town, but it’s its own entity and that’s that we don’t know what this team is going to look like in 2018. Mahomes is a different quarterback than Alex Smith and therefore the offense is going to look different.

Kareem Hunt is going into his second year as the team’s main running back, so will he be the same dominant rusher he was as a rookie? Will Tyreek Hill remain as the team’s number one weapon? Will Sammy Watkins live up to his giant contract?

These are all valid questions when it comes to this season. Mahomes might have some growing pains, Hunt could take a few steps back, and there could be other kinks elsewhere on the team that might hurt the Chiefs from making a big splash in 2018.

Sometimes the unknown is a good thing, but the Chiefs have a lot of players we’re not sure what to expect out of. That could be problematic.
