NUMBER 14: BRODIE CROYLE

2006-2010

When it comes down to it, the biggest thing to know with Brodie Croyle is that he never won a game in the NFL. I know some people think the wins and loss record for quarterbacks are a worthless stat, but Croyle started ten games and couldn’t win any of them. That’s got to count for something, right?

Well, it does.

Croyle sits as the worst quarterback since the year 2000. He was a third round pick in the 2006 NFL Draft and Chiefs fans thought he could end up being the quarterback of the future. Instead, he struggled to stay healthy and couldn’t do much on the field even when he WAS healthy.

Croyle spent five seasons as a Chief and started ten games while appearing in 18 total. He threw for 1,669 yards, eight touchdowns, and nine interceptions during that time. He went over 1,000 yards in just one season (2007) and that year threw six touchdowns and six picks. Oh and he went 0-10 as a starter, but I feel like I’ve drilled that into your heads already.

Brodie Croyle was given way too many opportunities to prove himself in Kansas City. It’s a telling factor that he didn’t play for any other team during the regular season in his NFL career and that he was quickly out of the league after his time with the Chiefs came to a close.

While some might not have Brodie Croyle this low on their respective lists, him failing to win a game in ten starts is pretty pathetic. Croyle deserves this spot.
