Dorian O’Daniel, Linebacker, Clemson

A few months back, if I were asked who my 2018 draft crush was, I would instantly say the name “Dorian O’Daniel”. I actually wrote about O’Daniel explaining just why I am so high on him.

O’Daniel was an explosive and versatile outside linebacker for the Clemson Tigers. Now with the Kansas City Chiefs, O’Daniel most likely will play a majority of his time as an inside linebacker.

For the time being, O’Daniel will back-up inside linebacker Anthony Hitchens. O’Dainel is quick, strong, and a smart football player, with high character. He has a great motor, which will easily translate into the NFL.

O’Daniel likely is a backup inside linebacker for now, as well as a special teams monster. So, as far as short term goes, O’Daniel will see the field a little bit, but the majority of the time will be special teams.

As far as long-term projections, I have O’Daniel continuing his domination on special teams and still backing up Hitchens, and/or Reggie Ragland. If one happens to leave the Kansas City Chiefs for unknown reasons, then O’Daniel would fill the void perfectly.
