DARREL WILLIAMS

This name might surprise some, but if any undrafted player is going to make a splash for the Chiefs this summer, it’s Darrel Williams. Williams went undrafted, most likely because he followed names like Leonard Fournette and Derrius Guide at LSU.

After slimming down he transitioned from fullback to halfback and improved his playing time and production, according to CBS Sports. Still over 220 pounds according to the Chiefs website, Williams could be used as bruiser as the Chiefs offense imposes its will on opposing defenses.

The Chiefs also gave a him a decent amount of money for an undrafted player. This could signal a roster spot for him and saving money on the cap over a more expensive back. Unfortunately with Spencer Ware returning from injury he could likely be replaced by a younger and healthier version of himself.

Darrel Williams is getting a lot of hype this offseason from Chiefs fans and for good reason. He could give the Chiefs one of the most explosive backfields in the league.
