Samuell Williamson

Samuell Williamson is a 6’6″ small forward out of Rockwall, Texas. He recently broke into the top 100 nationally ranked players. Williamson jumped over 100 spots this spring as one of the hottest up and coming seniors in high school.

Williamson has the flexibility to play all over the court, in any position. He has basketball smarts that are rare for a kid his age.

He handles the ball extremely well, he can shoot from anywhere, and his defense is underrated. Samuell is a floor running spectacle that has all the ingredients to become a floor general for Bill Self.

The internet is slowly catching on to Williamson, as he is now being dubbed Jayson Tatum 2.0.

Williamson is my personal favorite out of these five young men. His ceiling is unmatched. He has a chance to become as good a player as he wants to become. He has the opportunity to be a Kansas basketball legend when it’s all said and done.

The Kansas Jayhawks have had success with connecting to these little-known players early on in the recruitment process. By the time the rest of collegiate basketball catches on, they have their fingers firmly wrapped around the prospect.

If Kansas can land just a handful of these guys they will be looking at another top recruiting class as they continue the trek of consecutive conference titles.

Keep these names in mind as the months go by, the chances are that Bill Self will be reeling in the talent in 2019, just as he has done since his arrival in Lawrence.
