NUMBER 5: KENDALL FULLER

Kendall Fuller probably would have been on this list before Marcus Peters was traded, but he’s listed even higher now because of the fact that he’s probably going to be the team’s best cornerback. Well, he NEEDS to be the team’s best corner anyway.

After the Chiefs sent Alex Smith to Washington (insert any Mr. Smith Goes to Washington reference here), they received a third round pick in return as well as Kendall Fuller. The deal looked fantastic at the time, with Fuller likely pairing up with Peters as the two main corners.

That era didn’t last long and now Fuller has to be the man in the secondary. He’ll likely have David Amerson and Steven Nelson as the other two corners, but with the season Fuller had in D.C. last year, Chiefs fans will be expecting him to duplicate that type of production in Kansas City.

The good news with Fuller is that if he doesn’t have a top notch 2018, he’s still young. The bad news will be that the rest of the defense probably won’t be very good either.
